Why This Exists
I've been doing this long enough to know that a smile isn't just cosmetic. For a lot of people, it's the first thing they think about when a camera comes out, or when they're sitting across from someone new. It's not vanity. It's just always there.
Smile Forward exists because I want to change that for one person a year. Not as a promotion. Not as a giveaway. As a real commitment - to find someone with a story worth telling and do the work that changes something meaningful for them.
Every year I review the applications personally. Every year I choose one. And every year, that person's story becomes part of what this practice stands for.

What We Look For
There's no fixed procedure list. The transformation is defined by what the case actually needs, which means the right applicant could be starting from almost anywhere.
What we're looking for is someone whose smile has genuinely held them back, and who's ready to do something about it. A strong application tells us who you are, why this matters right now, and what changes on the other side of it. We're not scoring essays. We're looking for honesty.
